Qualification for Police Constable (250/2021)  :

(i). Educational: Pass in SSLC Examination or its equivalent
(ii). Technical: NTC in Radio/Television/Electronics/Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering/Computer/Information Technology or equivalent approved by Government of Kerala or equivalent qualification prescribed in respect of Ex-Service personnel.
(iii) Physical

• Height : 167 cms
• Chest: 81cms with a minimum expansion of 5cms.

Age Limit for  Police Constable (250/2021)  :

18-36; Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation.

Physical Efficiency Test:

Must qualify in any 5 events out of 8 items specified below of the National Physical Efficiency, one star standard tests with minimum standards noted against each namely.

1. 100 Metres Run -14 Second
2. High Jump -132.20 cm(4’6”)
3. Long Jump- 457.20 cm(15’)
4. Putting the Shot (7264 gms)) -609.60 cm(20’)
5. Throwing the Cricket Ball- 6096 cm(200’)
6. Rope Climbing(only with hands) -365.80 cm(12’)
7. Pull-ups or chinning -8 times
8. 1500 Metres Run -5 Minutes & 44 seconds

Note 1: 

– Male candidates having sound health and free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, Varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding tooth, defective speech and hearing can only apply for the post.

Note 2: 

– Physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of the physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the physical efficiency test, he will not be given any further chance to participate in the test.

Note 3: 

– The candidates should produce at the time of certificate verification physical efficiency test, a Medical Certificate in original in the form of prescribed hereunder, certifying to their physical fitness and eyesight without glasses. The Medical Certificate should be obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government, not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/ Junior Consultant.
