ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CBEC RECRUITMENT 2017 


Qualification:

Launch Mechanic:
  • Tenth Standard pass or equivalent 
  • Five years service on seagoing vessel with one-year independent charge of engine and auxiliary machinery 
Sukhani:
  • Tenth Standard pass or equivalent
  • Seven years service on sea going vessel with 2 years experience in independent handling of mechanized craft fitted with auxiliary sails. 
Seaman:
  • Tenth Standard pass or equivalent 
  • Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessels with two years in helmsman and seamanship work.
Greaser:
  • Tenth Standard pass or equivalent 
  • Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessels on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance.
Tradesman:
  • Tenth Standard pass or equivalent
  • I.T.I. certificate in Mechanical /Diesel / Mechani /Fitter/ Turner/ Welder /Electrician/ Instrumental/Carpentry. 
  • 2 years experience in Engineering/Automobile/Ship Repair Organisation 

Age limit: 

  • Launch Mechanic: 18 - 30 years
  • Sukhani: 18 - 30 years
  • Seaman: 18 - 25 years
  • Greaser: 18 - 25 years
  • Tradesman: 18 - 25 years
Upper Age limit:
  • SC/ST: 05 years
  • OBC(Non-Creamy Layer): 03 years

Pay scale: 

  • Launch Mechanic: Rs.25500 - 81100 Per Month
  • Sukhani: Rs.25500 - 81100 Per Month
  • Seaman: Rs.18000 - 56900 Per Month
  • Greaser: Rs.18000 - 56900 Per Month
  • Tradesman: Rs.19900 - 63200 Per Month



Selection Procedure: 

Written Exam, Skill Test

How to apply:

The Application form in the prescribed Form in A4 size paper along with attested photo copies of educational qualification, proof of age, category, essential and desirable certificates etc. wherever necessary and three passport size photographs and two self-addressed unstamped envelopes of 25x12 cms are to be sent at the below-mentioned address. The envelope should be superscribed with the words "Application for the post of --------"
